Our repertoire includes classical standards, waltzes, ragtime, broadway tunes, and pop songs (such as Enya and Beatles tunes).  Our musicians will provide the perfect musical ambiance for your special event.

What is the typical attire for a String Ensemble?

Our standard performance attire is formal black.

How can I incorporate the string quartet into my wedding ceremony?

Listed below are several traditional moments in which the string ensemble can be incorporated in wedding ceremonies:

· Prelude (as guests arrive and are seated)
· Seating of the Family (Grandparents, Parents)
· Bridal Party Processional (Groomsmen, Bridesmaids, Flower Girls, and Ring Bearers)
· Bridal Processional
· Lighting of the Unity Candle
· Recessional

Of course, you may have your own unique moments in the wedding for which you would like the string ensemble to play.

Which songs do you recommend for a wedding ceremony?

We recommend the following selections for wedding ceremonies:

· Seating of the Family (Grandparents, Parents): Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring
· Bridal Party Processional (Groomsmen, Bridesmaids, Flower Girls, and Ring Bearers): Canon in D
· Bridal Processional: The traditional Bridal Chorus or the more contemporary Trumpet Voluntary
· Lighting of the Unity Candle: Andante by Schubert
· Recessional: The traditional Wedding March or the more contemporary Hornpipe

How long does the string quartet usually play during a wedding?

Most wedding ceremonies last 1 hour: 15-30 minutes of prelude music before the ceremony begins and 30-45 minutes for the wedding ceremony itself.  Catholic weddings usually last 1.5 to 2 hours with 30 minutes of prelude music and 60-90 minutes for the ceremony (including communion).

How do I select music?

If you need help selecting music, we offer a music consultation free of charge.  Simply let us know, and we will schedule a meeting with you to help you choose songs appropriate for your special event.

My wedding is in Galveston.  Do your groups travel?

Yes, our string ensembles will travel to cities near Houston for a fee.  For more information, fill out the "Request a Quote" form for a detailed quote.

My favorite piece is the Overture to Madame Butterfly.  Can the quartet play this for my processional?

We will certainly make every attempt to honor our clients' special requests.  If the piece is not in our music library, we will look for a string arrangement.  Unfortunately, some pieces are just not suitable for string ensembles.

Can the quartet attend my wedding dress rehearsal?

We have found that attending the dress rehearsal is unnecessary.  Our professional string groups usually perform for weddings without attending the rehearsal.  However, if you feel it necessary, we can attend the rehearsal for a fee.

For other questions, please fill out the form on the "Request a Quote" page.
